Burmese Food at Pagan Restaurant on Clement Street

Yesterday night, we had planned to do a bonfire at Ocean Beach, but Gilles went at 7:00p.m (still daylight) and told us that all the fire pits were already taken and nobody would share theirs. So we had to change plans. We (Deepti, Tamar and I) decided to eat on Clement St. We were driving by and saw the sign for Grand Opening of a new Burmese place on Clement - Pagan Restaurant. We decided to try it. It was worth it. Decor was very nice, food was very good, even though Service was not the best !  We had the Burmese Curry Chicken Noddle with Split Peas, Eggplants with dried shrimps, Fish Curry and Roti Patala and Chicken Gravy as appetizer. Here are some pics of the dishes we ordered...

Singaporean Food @ Lee Hou with Kuben and Lia

Kuben and Lia, two friends from university, were in San Francisco for a conference a couple of weeks ago. Took them to Lee Hou (http://www.yelp.com/biz/lee-hou-restaurant-san-francisco) on Clement Street for some good Singaporean Food. The singapore curry chicken was the best ever curry I've had !! The yelp reviews don't look so good, but I loved the food !!

Chinese Dinner on Sunday night with Levi and Greg

After Stern Grove yesterday, we decided to go have some dinner. As we were in the neighborhood, we decided to go to the Chinatown in the Richmond (Clement Street). We found this place around 5th and Clement - a Singaporean/Malaysian place, which I did not note the name (but its next to Genki, the japanese crepe place and exactly opposite of Burma Superstar)

We had the Black Pepper Crab - (entire big crab  - for $15.99, I think its a bargain as everywhere I have seen, Crab dishes usually cost a lot more) and we had the fresh Steamed Black Bass.

Vietnamese Food at 'La Vie' restaurant on Geary

Yesterday evening, we were supposed to meet at Ocean Beach to hang out and make a bonfire, but when we got to the beach, it was very foggy, cold and windy. We decided it was not a good idea to be stay there. We decided to go have dinner in the richmond district. Delphine wanted to go to 'La Vie' vietnamese restaurant as it's supposed to be the only one place serving Lok-Lok dish in SF. The service was not that good. I got water like after half an hour and the waiter kept on ignoring us. But the food was decent. I had the Five Spice Roast Chicken dish which was delicious, but pictures below are

  • Chicken Spring Rolls
  • Beef Lok-Lok
  • Five Spice Chicken
  • Satay
  • Mixed Vegetables and Chicken
