San Francisco Independance Day Fireworks..

Even though I had to work on the 4th of July, I managed to catch some fireworks later that night at the Aquatic park close by the Fisherman's wharf. It was spectacular as usual and they had two exact displays of the fireworks a few hundred metres from each other, one at the Aquatic park and another at Fisherman's wharf, all of it accompanied by a choreagraphed music.

Check out a video I made of the fireworks. Was too big to upload by email to posterous. So had to upload it to flickr separately.

Festival of Sails

San Francisco had a festival of Sails (http://www.festivalofsail.org/) a couple of weeks ago. As I work close to the embarcadero, during lunch time that day, I walked up to the Fisherman's wharf to see the Sailboats passing by. Nice to have some Pirate ships in the bay.. some of them even had mock Cannons they fired at the crowd. Here are some snaps from that.

Lunch at Fog City Diner for Drew's Birthday

Went to lunch today at Fog City Diner (http://www.fogcitydiner.com/) in the embarcadero with the work peeps for Drew's Birthday Lunch. Its within walking distance from work.

I ordered the Salt and Pepper Fried Calamari and a Clam Chowder soup. I was surprised though that the clam Chowder came with solid clams in the shell rather than just cooked within the chowder. I don't really like clams in the shell.

Pictured below is the salt and pepper Calamari, Halibut over Vegetables and Memphis Style Pulled Pork sandwich and sweet potato fries.

4th of july fireworks pics in sf

just posting the pics I took for the 4th of july fireworks in sf. We were in the front seats on the aquatic park beach in front of ghiradelli square, but it was a waste of fireworks though.. As there was too much fog.. Most of the show was a big blurry colorful cloud of fog as you can see from the picture :)
