Chicken with Explosive Chilli Peppers - Hottest Dish I've ever had...

Tonight I had the hottest ever dish in my life - Chicken with Explosive Chili Peppers at the Z & Y Schezuan Chinese restaurant in San Francisco Chinatown. I think it had more peppers than chicken - very tasty though. I can't wait to try all the other hot schezuan specialities at Z & Y.

Chinatown Fruits Gallore

Strolling through San Francisco Chinatown early Saturday morning, I liked the wide variety of fruits they had and just had to snap some pics. Everything looked so perfect and huge, but yet so cheap -- I wonder where they come from and how much chemicals/hormones have been used on them.

Saturday Morning Dim Sum with Pravin and Bhavik

Last Friday night, Pravin and Bhavik had stayed at my place after we finished Asian Massive at 1015.

On Saturday morning, decided to take them to Chinatown for brunch. We decided to do some Dim Sum at one of the many dim-sum places on Jackson Street between Kearny and Grant.

We went there around 9:30a.m and it was very very packed. We were probably the only non-chinese people in there.

They pass by with the different dim sum dishes every few minutes and we can pick what we want. We got 6 dishes and that fed us good for all afternoon :)

Dim Sum before work..

Rather than walking or biking to work, decided to catch the Marina express bus.. The closest stop to work is only one and 1/2 blocks away from my favorite hall in the wall dim sum place in chinatown. Hard to resist not having some dim sum..

I had 4 pieces as u see in the pic below..Shrimp and Chives, Chicken and Vegetable, Shark fin steamed dumplings and fried meat dumpling.

All that for $2.20!

The place is called House of Dimsum and is found close to Jackson st and Grant St. (http://www.yelp.com/biz/house-of-dim-sum-san-francisco ).

Gota love working close to Chinatown :)

Morning Dim Sum

Its always a struggle to decide whether to take the bus or walk to work every morning. Walking prevailed this morning. I walked the entire way up on Chestnut, cut on Columbus, then Stockton, then Broadway. Broadway st has some 4-5 dim sum places and I do stop once in a while to grab some before getting to work. I went to You's Dim Sum today - my favorite. I had one pot sticker, one shrimp and chives dumpling and one rice ball thing with meat inside (I asked her what its called and she said Pao Si Lau I think) - all of that for $1.40. Great way to start the week !
