At the Berkeley Kite Festival this year, they had a group from Japan to demonstrate the traditional japanese kite. Before flying off the kites, they marched and had a mini procession with the kite, with band and all.. i joinned them and it was fun !

I went to the Berkeley Kite Festival on Sunday (http://www.highlinekites.com/Berkeley_Kite_Festival/). Weather was little cloudy and greyish, but good winds for Kite Flying. They had Kite displays, Kite Choregraphies, Kite Ballets and just general good kiting stuff. I really enjoyed the team Stunt Kite Ballets and Precision Moves. They had a special team that had come from Japan to showcase Japanese traditional Kites - They had a whole ceremony holding their kites and walking around the festival area, with trumpets, drums etc..
