The new car-less life has been extremely good and not missed having a car much living in the city, but sometimes for a little trip to the beach or grocery store, I wish I had a quicker means than bus or by foot. So, I decided to buy a little 150cc moped. Love the color and the style. It'll only be for little commutes inside the city. I don't think it's too safe to be venturing out on the highways yet. Not yet ridden it a lot, as its been pretty cold and windy lately, but hopefully this weekend is weather is good, I'll venture out a bit more and try to see how it fares on the steep slopes of SF !

Last weekend, I did the bay2breakers race again with a few friends. We deciced to be scrabble letters. We bought some plain white t-shirts and had drawn scrabble pieces and their points on it, hoping we'd make words with ourselves along the way, but we did not :) Was much more interesting to watch the other people. Weather was extremely hot that day, but did not prevent any of the crazy people to enjoy the race. The race had its usual quota of naked people, body painted people, huge drink floats, theme floats etc.. Check out the pics for some moments from it.

I had not yet taken a picture of my tattoo since I got it. Courtesy of Carla, here's a picture of it. Its a double dragon (my chinese horoscope) wound around the hand, in black and blue accents and shadows..

It was taken on the one day when Spring gave us a little peek of what's to come and had gone to the beach.. hence the sand on the arms as well..

I had it done in Mauritius at Rick Tattoo Studio (Ricardo Barbe's studio). He's a great tattooer and great person and we found out we were in the same school batch and even had common friends. small world !
